“All you’re not” by FERGUS
UK based indie singer/songwriter FERGUS comes to us with a subtle yet powerful soundscape in “All you’re not”. With this honest and human showcase of feelings and emotions, he speaks up to those who attacked his soul pushing his self-esteem to the ground. He speaks from personal experience but there finds the opportunity to invite us to speak up and remember the fire that burns inside all of us. The track is quite frankly a much-needed reminder that we all have the capacity for so much but sadly let the opinion of others to limit that. I embrace this soundscape with open arms and remember all the times in which I let others dictate what I was capable of, with regret I remember but at least now know that my fire should be allowed to burn as bright as I want it and you should do the same. So listen and enjoy this exquisite and mesmerizing ride.
“’All You’re Not’ is a retaliation to being branded by someone as lacking in so many ways. A veil has been lifted and you finally see the situation for what it was, and what this person was doing to you… wearing you down and eventually eroding your self-esteem completely. You realise all these faults are not, actually, part of your character at all, but a reflection of theirs. So, you start to remember your worth, stop feeling sorry for yourself and become free to heal. ‘All You’re Not’ is riotous and viciously defensive – because it’s high time you claimed back your wounded self.” – FERGUS
