“Acceptable Hell” by Zoe Wakelam

The Australian UK based indie singer/songwriter Zoe Wakelam comes to us with the honest and relatable soundscape of “Acceptable Hell”. With this refreshingly honest and down to earth blend of melodies and lyrics she draws inspiration from a sad reality she experienced in her youth as she was bullied at school, pushing her to be home-schooled. This sadly is not a story that only belongs to her, for there are many around the world that are pushed to this or even worse and we continue to look the other way. As she mentions this version of hell is one that seems to be accepted and continues to repeat itself over and over again. We must listen closely to how the story unfolds because there are a few things within it that will surely hit a nerve yet we must let it speak to us as the soundscape comes alive. Enjoy!
