‘Taller’ by Anna Leonard

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Uber-talented indie singer/songwriter Anna Leonard comes to Wolf in a Suit for the first time with an amazing and captivating body of work in her EP ‘Taller’. With this refreshing set of 6 well-crafted tracks, she explores various moments in life and paints a picture that embraces the ups and downs that come from each moment and gives us a modern-day masterpiece that dances between the contemporary and the classic with such grace and such gentle fire. The melodies and lyrics perfectly complement each other within each song giving life to stories that are so relatable yet so personal and manage to always feed our senses and give our imagination an escape from reality that is much welcomed. The tracks always manage to hypnotize you as they deliver mesmerizing and human soundscapes that come alive from the very first second. So listen closely to each song for they hold something special waiting for you. Enjoy!

Personal Favorites: “Both of Us” and “Taller”

Why? The first track is honest and does not point the finger but instead accepts the harsh truth of why relationships end, is not about one, it’s about two from the start all the way to the end. The second track is so vivid and something about it feeds your imagination instantly painting a picture that is so human and hypnotizing.

Conclusion: The EP is highly recommended and for a freshman body of work shines brighter than most and definitely gets you excited for what’s to come from the incredibly talented Anna Leonard.
