Los Angeles based Sleeping Lion have quickly become an act that I anxiously wait for new music and their latest gem is a fine example as to why. They took one of their most heartfelt singles and stripped it down to its bones and added a guitar, piano, and a string trio to enhance the feelings and emotions of the original. Say hello to the stripped version of “Stop it” and fall immediately more in love with the mesmerizing and mature sounds that Nate and Noah have served for us. While on one hand they lost the synth and more of the pop sounds, on the other they gained a softer and soothing vibe that seems to compliment the bittersweet nature of the lyrics perfectly. The tracks hits you right in the heart as you sense the final goodbye that is part of its soundscape. This gem was the last track worked on together as a couple by Nate and Abby and adds a certain aura to the sound that makes it feel honest and filled with emotions that pour right into the airwaves.
