Grace Mitchell

Indie Pop/Rock

Why? Absolutely the best track I’ve heard thus far this year. Grace Mitchell you are goddess, a muse, a creative supernova of music and “Now” is an explosion of the magic that dwells in your lyrics and your melodies. I find it impossible not to want to share such a track, you are epitome of what an Indie queen represents – through verses that evoke a past, a present and a future you capture the essence of the moment and make music that is definitely worth listening.

The Aces

Indie Pop

Why? There’s no going wrong with the talented indie queens that make up The Aces, their indie pop melodies are truly a work of passion, talent and that special unknown that I am always searching for in music. I love the fact that the verses are based on the now, no one is trying to hard to be something they are not because they deliver honest melodies that embrace the lyrics beautifully and we know for a fact that we can understand the situation in the soundscape. Enjoy!

Anya Marina

Indie Pop

Why? There’s something about the way Anya speaks about the feelings and emotions that make up the unrelenting beast that is love. It has a way of falling into an abyss or going up into the sky where the angels reside, it is unknown where you will fall but you’ll eventually see the darkness collapsing around you or the light shining upon you. “Serious Love” is the step before the last, as the abyss is right in front of you but you are too blind to see.

Velvet Winter

Indie Rock

Why? A hypnotizing beauty that is taken outside the realms of the human grasp by the magnificence of her voice and the melodies that flow with her lyrics. She grabs our hands and pulls us into her world where we are immediately filled with an electric wave of tunes, melodies, experiences and more that pick us up and pushes us into the world but always looking at the shadows for there she dwells with her mesmerizing verses.
