-What’s the story behind the name ‘Happy Sometimes”?
When I first started producing the Ep, I was in a studio session and someone asked me “how have been feeling lately?” and I said “Usually sad and crying over boys” but then I said “I guess I’m happy sometimes.” And the name just stuck.

-Is there a process for your songwriting? What inspires you?
It really depends on what’s happening in my life at the time..When I am happy I usually start with making a beat that reflects that. When I am feeling emotional or stressed about a certain situation I like to sit down at the piano and just let out everything I am feeling. Music is my way of coping with life or feelings I don’t quite understand. I always make sure that I am being 100% honest with myself and the people who listen to my music.

-So far, best live show experience?
When I was first starting out, I got to open at the House Of Blues in Dallas. It was right after my first breakup and I wrote this song called “Have It All”. It was first time playing one of my songs live and it was the best feeling ever.

-Any must-do ritual before shows, rehearsing and/or recording?
Tequila!!!!! Usually when I’m in L.A in the Valley writing / recording with my crew, we always end up drinking tequila and writing until 3 a.m.
-2017 is almost here, any big plans for next year? gigs, tour, album, etc?
More music! Releasing my second Ep in early January and currently shooting music videos. I’ll also be touring next year

-Your favorite lyric from any of your songs?
“Did I never tell you loving me is dangerous”– Lit

-Artists that inspire you?
Janis Joplin, Sia, and Gwen Stefani. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by young creatives that inspire me every day such like Tony Rodini.
