“Black” by Weslynn
Weslynn you’ve done it once again, you have delivered an indie pop/rock gem that is inviting, playful and completely amazing. With “Black” I personally feel they borrowed some inspiration from the little black dress that is said to be a must in any women’s wardrobe, why? honestly I don’t know, but there’s always something hypnotic about a woman in a black dress, maybe it is the unknown nature and ambiguity of the color or how it simply highlights that power and fierceness in them, who knows …maybe the band knows. The track is a complete must listen for it knows how to capture the attention of the listener and the verses are easy to connect with and envision. Plus while the music video serves us a variety of scenarios, we are always left wanting…even begging for a glimpse of the owner of that famous black dress.
